Project Architect - Healthcare

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the full project lifecycle, establishing project goals, expectations, and guiding principles from kickoff through completion.
  • Oversee planning, programming, conceptual design, documentation, construction administration, and closeout for complex healthcare projects.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, consultants, contractors, and internal staff, ensuring alignment, accountability, and successful project execution.
  • Apply deep knowledge of healthcare operations, workflow planning, evidence-based design, and current industry trends to deliver high-performing healthcare environments.
  • Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and agency standards, including NFPA, ADAAG, FGI, OBC, IBC, OSHPD, and HCAI.
  • Direct the production and coordination of construction documents, specifications, and technical deliverables to maintain quality, consistency, and constructability.
  • Lead construction administration efforts, including site visits, RFIs, submittal reviews, change management, punch lists, and issue resolution.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor project financial performance, billings, scope changes, and team efficiency while proactively mitigating risks.
  • Facilitate client meetings, executive presentations, and stakeholder workshops, building trust and maintaining strong long-term partnerships.
  • Review reports, plans, estimates, calculations, and technical documentation for quality assurance and project accuracy.
  • Mentor and lead junior staff, fostering professional development and elevating overall team performance.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, interviews, presentations, and pursuit strategy for new healthcare opportunities.
  • Champion innovative design solutions that balance operational efficiency, patient experience, aesthetics, scale, and community impact.
