About the job:Title: Data Center Design ManagerLocation: Bellevue, Washington (Open to candidates requiring relocation.)
We’re partnering with a data center developer on a key hire for their North American design team. This is an opportunity to play a central role in the delivery of complex data center projects.You will lead external architect and engineering teams from design coordination through delivery, ensuring projects are fully integrated and aligned with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead multidisciplinary design coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, and critical infrastructure systems. - Manage external architects, engineers, and specialty consultants to deliver coordinated and high-quality design packages.- Define consultant scope and deliverables while keeping projects aligned with schedule, budget, and quality standards.- Partner with development teams on planning, zoning, and entitlement efforts.- Support customer RFPs through technical narratives, design approaches, and solution development.- Work closely with development, construction, sales, security, EH&S, and operations teams to align project and customer requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in data center, mission-critical, or similarly complex technical design.- Strong understanding of integrated building systems, including MEP and structural design- Working knowledge of planning, zoning, and entitlement processes- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
