Senior Electrical Engineer

United States - Remote

The Senior Electrical Engineer will support the design and development of electrical systems used within advanced cooling equipment for mission-critical and data center applications.

This position sits within a product engineering team responsible for developing large-scale, highly engineered cooling systems used in demanding infrastructure environments. The role will focus on electrical design, system-level requirements, component selection, compliance and continuous improvement across new and existing equipment.

You will work closely with mechanical, controls, manufacturing and product teams to ensure electrical designs are safe, reliable, manufacturable and compliant with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document electrical designs for complex cooling equipment and related systems
• Review existing electrical architectures and evaluate component suitability, performance and reliability
• Translate equipment and product requirements into detailed electrical system requirements
• Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable safety, certification and regulatory standards
• Select and specify electrical and electronic components for equipment applications
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, drawings and supporting engineering documentation
• Review existing designs and recommend improvements related to safety, cost, reliability and quality
• Conduct peer reviews of electrical engineering work and provide technical feedback
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of electrical design or product performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams throughout the product development lifecycle
• Support design changes, product improvements and new product development initiatives
• Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of electrical engineering practices

Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience within industrial, commercial or engineered-product environments
• Experience developing electrical systems for complex equipment or machinery
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, component selection and system integration
• Experience working with electrical safety and product compliance requirements
• Familiarity with standards such as UL, ETL, CE or other relevant certifications
• Ability to review and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong initiative, ownership and problem-solving capability

Preferred Experience

• Experience with EPLAN or similar electrical design software
• Exposure to HVAC, refrigeration, thermal management or related equipment
• Experience supporting products used within mission-critical or high-availability environments
• Previous experience providing technical guidance or peer review to other engineers
