Project Architect/Project Manager

Location: Sacramento, CA | Full-Time | AEC - Architecture & Design Sector

A Sacramento-based architecture firm is seeking a Project Architect/Project Manager with broad experience across Advanced Technology, Industrial, Retail, and Commercial/Workplace sectors. This role requires strong technical coordination skills, the ability to manage complex projects, and the capacity to thrive in fast-paced environments. Candidates with established professional connections in Sacramento-or a strong ability to integrate into the local design and construction community-will be especially valued.

The selected professional will lead projects from conceptual planning through construction, balancing design integration, technical coordination, and client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architectural design and documentation from concept through construction.
  • Coordinate infrastructure, MEP, and process systems across diverse building types.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on advanced technology projects (semiconductors, microelectronics, EV battery, etc.).
  • Design and plan industrial facilities (distribution centers, warehouses, maker spaces) that support complex processes.
  • Create brand-aligned retail environments, focusing on customer experience.
  • Design commercial workplace environments that balance aesthetics, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15+ years of architectural experience with relevant project types.
  • Licensed Architect (required).
  • Proven skills in technical coordination, particularly with MEP and process systems.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently through design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases.
  • Background in high-tech, fast-track, or engineering-led projects is a plus.
  • InDesign experience (preferred).
