This is an opportunity for an Associate, or an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing consultancy who off the back of a successful year are looking for somebody to lead the Geotech / Contaminated Land division. This is also during an exciting period for the business due to a restructure and rebrand to main organic growth of the back of their success.
The consultancy is an independently owned multidisciplinary consultancy, of around 50 staff, operating out of 4 offices around the UK. The provide a full range of engineering consultancy services covering, Civil's Structures, Contaminated Land and Geotechnical Engineering design.
The ideal candidate will be from a Geotech/Contaminated Land background and have contacts/ability to deliver projects from inception to completion. The business already operates in this sector so have existing work/contacts to develop but ideally the ability to identify potential business is beneficial.
More about the role and your experience
*Experienced and capable a scoping and delivering geotechnical ground investigations for a variety of purposes.
*Experienced in writing and reviewing interpretive geotechnical reports (covering contamination, waste and geotechnics).
*Experience in the specification and design of geotechnical structures (foundations, earthworks, ground improvement, slopes, embankments, cuttings, gravity structures, nails, anchors, imbedded walls etc).
*An experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer with substantial consultancy experience gained in the UK.
*BEng, BSc or higher qualification in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering and Chartered Member of a relevant institution
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
