This position is based in Frankfurt with the requirement to be on-site daily and responsible for managing comprehensive, scalable, Environmental Health and Safety Programs.This role will require travel and interfacing with facilities personnel.
Essential Functions:

* Ensures implementation of EHS regional strategy in collaboration with business units in Germany.
* Provide EHS technical and compliance expertise to business leaders and personnel at all levels, informing and advising Management on EHS performance, compliance status, issues and potential risks.
* Support EU administration of Safety Management Enterprise System. This will include data entry, validation of data accuracy, follow up with corrective actions, dashboard maintenance, and other necessary tasks.
* Ensure facilities are complying with all applicable health, safety and environmental regulations by keeping abreast of existing and new legislation/regulation, anticipating future legislation/regulation, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence to regulation and advising management on needed actions.
* Interface with customer and contract EHS personnel to maintain alignment on EHS matters.
* Conduct or oversee periodic reviews and audits of EHS compliance and track corrective actions.
* Develop and administer facility EHS self-assessments for facility personnel.
* Assist in setting up any necessary insurance claims to include vehicle, general liability, worker injury, property damage or other applicable coverage areas.
* Maintain all documentation related to claims per our documentation retention policy.
* Work with Insurance broker to update claims manual for Germany as needed and ensure claim procedures are followed.
* Establish a "Plan-Do-Check-Act" culture of continuous improvement, incorporating near miss reporting, serious incident root cause and failure analysis, lessons learned communications, management of change, and incident prevention teams.
* Implement, review and administer EHS policies as required for Germany. Work closely with EHS team in Europe for other country knowledge.
* EHS support for M&A and integration activities.
* Support Environmental management programs relevant to data centers such as air permits or greenhouse gas reporting.
* Assist with invoicing and validation of third party activities such as auditing, permitting or program development.
* Assist with updating presentations, metrics and other media.
* Support documentation and metrics related to EHS Management Systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Utilize learning management system to initiate, assign and track EHS training.
* Support and prepare documents and information requested from other departments.
* Other support duties as needed.
* Ensures proper Incident notification, investigation, RCA and corrective/preventive actions for Germany.

Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science in Safety, Environmental or related discipline.
* Microsoft Office 365 knowledge including
* Ability to develop and administer policy and procedures firmly, tactfully and with consistency.
* Strong knowledge of European and German (and working knowledge for UK, Amsterdam) HSE and process safety regulations
* Customer service mindset in support of both internal and external stakeholders.
* Willingness to adjust hours and be flexible as required by the business to include being onsite for extended hours during significant business needs.
* Have a working knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) in the United States.
* Strong verbal and writing skills.
* Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture.
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
