As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) engineer, P.E you will apply your unique skills and insights as part of project teams that span across the United States.
Your I&C skills will support designs for complex wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
* Provide instrumentation and control (I&C) system engineering and design for water and wastewater projects.
* Work includes both in-plant and remote telemetry (SCADA) projects with the potential for HMI/PLC programming.
* Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs); prepare I&C system specifications; prepare cost estimate for projects; and review and approve documentation developed by contractors.
* Inspect, test, and approve of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities.
Qualifications And Skills
Required Expert level proficiency in I&C design - 10 Years preferred.
Strong knowledge of bid documents including I&C plans, technical specs and cost estimating Experience working on and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Task focused.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Must have a PE license, or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
Preferred
Multiple years of experience performing I&C design for public sector water/wastewater clients.
Demonstrated understanding of processes and equipment for various water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems. PLC/HMI configuration/programming experience
Experience mentoring junior engineers, designers, and other staff, Experience communicating and coordinating with clients.
Education MS in Electrical or related Engineering discipline with an emphasis on instrumentation and controls from an ABET accredited university. (Preferred).
Must have a PE License, or ability to obtain within 12-18 months of employment
