A leading national electrical contractor is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join their team on a large-scale infrastructure project in the DMV region. This is a key role supporting QA/QC and final commissioning efforts alongside the project management and field operations teams.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of field experience, documentation expertise, and a proactive mindset to help ensure project success from testing through turnover.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement project-specific Quality Control Plans
Coordinate required testing and inspection reports with project managers and engineers
Lead documentation efforts including test data, daily QC reports, and compliance logs
Perform site walks and monitor field QC activities
Liaise with third-party testing firms and commissioning teams
Promote and enforce quality standards and safety procedures across the field
Review and cross-check testing protocols and industry standards
Provide support on formal notifications, deficiency tracking, and closeout documentation
Qualifications:
ASQ Certification (Lead Auditor) - Required
5+ years of electrical construction experience
2+ years of experience in a QA/QC management role within a construction environment
Familiar with commissioning, startup, and de-energizing/lockout tagout procedures
Knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 70E
Proficient with QC and construction technology: Bluebeam, Excel, DAS systems, interface platforms
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to pass a background check, DMV check, and drug test
