Land Development Branch Manager

Harper Harrison is proud to be supporting a nationally recognized land development consulting firm in finding a new Branch Manager to join them on a permanent basis. With nearly four decades of experience, they provide civil engineering, site planning, and permitting expertise across a variety of sectors. Known for their client-first approach, strategic mindset, and strong project execution, they help shape thriving communities while fostering a supportive, growth-oriented culture for their teams. This role will be based from their office in in Montgomery County, Maryland. There is an option to be based from another office in northern Virginia.


In this role, you will:

* Collaborate closely with senior firm leaders to maximize existing business, strategize for future growth, and define branch objectives aligned with financial performance targets.
* Grow and maintain client relationships in coordination with our business development and marketing teams, supporting the broader expansion goals of both the office and the company.
* Recruit, mentor, and support staff development - particularly identifying and nurturing future leaders within the organization.
* Supervise the production and management of site planning projects while providing hands-on oversight when needed.
* Play a central role in shaping the future direction and identity of our newly established Montgomery County office.


Who We're Looking For:

* An experienced professional with a degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, or a related discipline - or equivalent career experience.
* Ideally licensed in Maryland (PE or RLA preferred).
* Someone with strong regional connections and a proven ability to cultivate lasting client relationships.
* A leader who has guided high-performing design teams and delivered exceptional site development projects.
* Business-savvy and goal-oriented, with a record of achieving performance metrics.
* Passionate about project management and committed to producing quality results across diverse markets.

You'll have the chance to lead and grow a branch office backed by a respected firm with a nearly four-decade track record in the industry.
