Senior Interior Designer

The Opportunity: They are seeking a Senior Interior Designer in Seattle to lead design efforts across all phases of complex commercial, institutional, and civic projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong creative vision, leadership skills, and a commitment to design excellence, mentoring junior designers while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to create high-quality, meaningful spaces.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of innovative, high-quality design concepts aligned with client goals, brand identity, and budget

Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design execution, documentation, and construction administration

Assess material needs, coordinate bid processes, and support fabrication, installation, and logistics

Facilitate collaboration across disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment with project objectives and technical requirements

Provide strategic leadership to the design team, guiding creative direction and ensuring project quality

Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering professional growth and creative excellence

Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively communicating project progress and opportunities

Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and award submissions to enhance visibility and reputation

Support marketing and business development initiatives through presentations, publications, and project showcases
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline

NCIDQ certification required; NCARB registration preferred if registered as an Architect

7+ years of professional interior design experience in commercial, institutional, or civic projects (offices, airports, hospitals, labs, schools, sports venues)

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office

LEED accreditation required within 12 months of employment

Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills
