Data Center Operations Manager (Customer Interface)

Houston, TX (on-site)

 

We are supporting a global data-centre owner, developer, and operator with finding a Data Center Operations Manager to act as the main operational contact for key hyperscale customers. This role focuses on ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, clear communication, and a high-quality customer experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer operations teams.
  • Coordinate responses to incidents, planned maintenance, and technical requests.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Track and report performance metrics, service levels, and operational status updates.
  • Support change management, capacity planning, and project activities across sites.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years in data center operations or a technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of critical facility infrastructure (electrical/mechanical).
  • Experience managing operational escalations and communicating with customer stakeholders.
  • Comfortable translating technical detail into clear updates and decisions.
  • ITIL or similar operational frameworks is a plus.
