Responsibilities
- Lead I&C design efforts on municipal water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
- Design and integrate SCADA and PLC systems; specify fiber optic communication networks.
- Prepare process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), control narratives, and panel layouts.
- Develop and review ISA data sheets, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Support project delivery across multiple disciplines and phases, including QA/QC processes.
- Engage in client meetings, workshops, and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Assist with project scope definition, scheduling, and budget tracking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience designing I&C systems, preferably for municipal water or wastewater projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, including 480 VAC systems, load calculations, and conduit layout.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain it within a defined timeframe.
