What We're Looking For
Goal: Find a strategic hire to lead and grow new opportunities within Higher Education - someone who is energized by building relationships, identifying opportunities, and shaping early-stage pursuits.
Key Characteristics:
- A door opener - someone out in the market building relationships, connecting with stakeholders, and creating new leads.
- Balance between strategic vision and hustle - comfortable speaking at industry events, attending meetings, and being the face of the Higher Ed practice.
- Could be a seasoned leader or an ambitious, high-upside emerging talent (10-15 years) ready to grow into a leadership role.
- Essentially, the door knocker - someone to open the doors to allow individuals current Design Leaders to walk through and outline the reasons that this team, should be the team to work on said projects.
Preferred Background:
- Architecture, design, or planning background (ideally), to build credibility and connect with clients.
- Experience in programming and master planning is a major plus.
- Not expected to be billable - the value is in front-end engagement, although there may be internal pressures down the line
Ideal Candidate May Be:
- From a university or adjacent industry with deep Higher Ed ties
