Project Manager

A well-established general contractor is launching a mission-critical division and is hiring a Director of Construction to lead the build-out and delivery of hyperscale and colocation data center projects in the Mid-Atlantic region. This is a high-impact leadership role with direct influence on client strategy, operations, and future team structure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of data center project delivery, from preconstruction through commissioning

• Serve as the face of the division to hyperscale and enterprise clients

• Collaborate with business development and executive teams to shape pursuit strategies

• Oversee staffing, training, and performance of project teams

• Ensure high standards of safety, quality, schedule, and budget control

• Guide constructability reviews and early design coordination

• Build relationships with subcontractors experienced in mission-critical systems

• Establish operating procedures and scalable best practices for the new division

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in mission-critical construction, with at least 5 in a leadership role

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including MEP, commissioning, and power systems

• Proven ability to lead multiple projects and teams simultaneously

• Experience with design-build and fast-track project delivery methods

• Strategic thinker with excellent client-facing communication

Compensation & Benefits:

• $180,000-$210,000 base salary + performance-based incentives
