Project Manager - Construction Documents & Contract Administration

Location: Boston, MA | Full-Time | Architecture & Design Sector

We're partnering with an award-winning, leading architecture firm located in downtown Boston that is looking to add a seasoned Project Manager to its highly collaborative, design-oriented practice.

This opportunity is perfect for someone who brings sharp technical expertise, thrives in managing complex projects, and has a strong eye for Contract Administration and Construction Documents especially in corporate research buildings, medical and scientific research facilities, healthcare institutions, and academic teaching spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the production and coordination of high-quality Construction Documents, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Lead Contract Administration tasks including managing RFIs, submittals, field reports, and punch lists to ensure construction stays aligned with design intent.
  • Oversee technical coordination with consultants, engineers, and other disciplines to address complex building systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and solutions to help grow the next generation of technical leaders.
  • Maintain control over project quality, schedule, and budget, ensuring client expectations are exceeded at every stage.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in architecture with a focus on technical execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Construction Documents and Contract Administration for complex project types such as:
    • Scientific and medical research facilities
    • Academic teaching buildings
    • Healthcare environments
    • Corporate research or institutional projects
  • Strong coordination skills with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, particularly in managing client and contractor relationships during construction.
  • A passion for detail, quality, and precision in documentation.
  • Architecture licensure preferred but not required.
