Technical Project Leader - Wastewater Infrastructure

Location: Florida | Hybrid Work Model

Our client, a nationally recognized engineering and consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Leader to lead the technical vision and delivery of high-impact water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the east coast. With a strong reputation for innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, this firm has played a key role in shaping critical infrastructure for over 75 years.

This position is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring project teams, and driving excellence in design and delivery from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the technical direction and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and pump stations.
-Serve as the key technical authority on design and non-design projects, working closely with Project Managers under the firm's Global Delivery Excellence Framework (GDEF).
-Ensure regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines across all technical documentation and deliverables.
-Conduct site visits and studies to align design work with location-specific needs.
-Collaborate with business development teams to support proposals, presentations, and strategic pursuits.
-Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical oversight on project execution.
-Support firm-wide knowledge management by contributing white papers, technical documentation, and journal submissions.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
-PE (Professional Engineer) license required.
-Minimum 10 years of experience in municipal water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
-Expertise in CAD (3D/4D), engineering design principles, and MS Office tools.
-Strong understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
-Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative work style.
