We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Water Process Engineer with a strong background in industrial water and wastewater treatment and a passion for emerging water technologies. In this fully remote role, you will design, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge process solutions for industrial clients across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the process engineering design for advanced industrial water and wastewater treatment systems.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies including membrane processes, zero-liquid discharge (ZLD), resource recovery, advanced oxidation, and smart water systems.
Translate client requirements and raw water characteristics into scalable process solutions.
Develop detailed engineering deliverables including process flow diagrams (PFDs), mass balances, equipment specs, and P&IDs.
Provide technical leadership throughout project phases-from pre-sales assessments and pilot studies to commissioning and optimization.
Collaborate with R&D, sales engineers, and external partners to evaluate and integrate innovative technologies and vendor solutions.
Conduct techno-economic evaluations and lifecycle analyses to support client decision-making.
Prepare and seal engineering reports, proposals, and submittals in compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial water/wastewater process engineering.
Active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.
Strong working knowledge of industrial treatment technologies, such as:
Membrane filtration (RO, UF, NF)
Ion exchange, demineralization, or EDI
Biological treatment (MBR, aerobic/anaerobic digestion)
Thermal or evaporative systems
Experience with water reuse, brine management, or ZLD systems.
Proficiency in modeling tools and engineering software (e.g., WaterCAD, Aspen, BioWin, or custom tools).
Ability to manage remote client communication, presentations, and project execution independently.
Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
