Regional Sales Manager - Industrial Water Treatment

Harper Harrison have been expanding their services with the industrial water treatment and emerging water technologies space. As part of this, we have taken on a role for a Regional Sales Manager within water treatment. In this role you will lead business development and sales efforts in the industrial water treatment sector. This is a remote role and is ideal for a proven sales leader with deep knowledge in water and wastewater treatment, who thrives in a high-autonomy, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage sales activities across an assigned U.S. region, focused on industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, technologies, and services.

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in alignment with company goals and regional market strategies.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, OEMs, and industry partners.

  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings (approximately 30% travel).

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and product teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and customer demands.

  • Prepare and present technical proposals and sales presentations; lead contract negotiations.

  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting through CRM tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the water/wastewater treatment industry, with in-depth understanding of industrial applications (e.g., manufacturing, energy, food & beverage, chemical).

  • 3-5 years of proven success in a business development or sales leadership role.

  • Strong technical acumen in water treatment technologies such as filtration, chemical dosing, membrane systems, biological treatment, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a complex sales cycle from prospecting through closing.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel domestically up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Existing network of industry contacts and key decision-makers in industrial sectors.

  • Knowledge of regional water regulations and permitting processes.
