Water / Wastewater Project Engineer / Manager
Location: Florida (Multiple Locations)
Our client, a nationally recognised engineering and consulting firm with over 75 years of experience delivering critical infrastructure projects, is seeking a Wastewater Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects across areas in Florida. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to meaningful infrastructure work and grow within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment systems, and utility master plans.
- Oversee project tasks such as design development, permitting, and construction coordination.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
- Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Ensure quality control through preparation and review of design documents and plan sets.
- Develop and manage project work plans and budgets in alignment with client expectations.
- Represent the team in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and municipal authorities.
- Monitor project progress, timelines, and financial performance.
- Foster professional relationships within the firm and with external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in civil or municipal engineering with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
- Licenced Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Proficient in designing treatment facilities, pump stations, and distribution/collection systems.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or InfoWater.
