We are excited to be working with a healthcare system in the New York metro area is seeking a Senior Healthcare Planner to join their internal Planning, Design & Construction team. This is a rare opportunity to transition client-side and take a leadership role in shaping the future of care delivery across a growing hospital network.
As Senior Planner, you'll work directly with executive leadership, clinical stakeholders, and design consultants to guide strategic facility initiatives-from major renovations to new outpatient centers and long-term master plans. This is a high-impact role for a planning professional who wants to drive innovation, lead from the owner's side, and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of patient care environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead healthcare planning efforts across capital projects, facility upgrades, and clinical expansions
Translate operational and clinical goals into clear space programs, departmental layouts, and strategic planning documents
Facilitate stakeholder engagement and user group meetings with physicians, nurses, and executive leaders
Represent the health system's interests in coordination with external architects, engineers, and consultants
Evaluate and contribute to facility master plans, feasibility studies, and systemwide planning initiatives
Stay ahead of healthcare trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform long-term planning
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in healthcare planning, healthcare architecture, or system-level facility strategy
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, operational planning, and regulatory standards
Exceptional communication and leadership skills; ability to engage with high-level stakeholders
Experience with inpatient, outpatient, and specialty care environments preferred
Degree in Architecture, Planning, Healthcare Design, or a related field; licensure a plus but not required
