Design Principal:

Subject to approval by our Board of Directors, your position will be full-time as a Design Principal and you will be located in our Florida office. Your responsibilities will be to advance the mission, goals, strategies and core values of the firm and perform the tasks and duties as assigned and as discussed during your interviews with the firm and as outlined below:

  • Utilize your expertise to position the firm to become a Global Resource and Strategic Partner for Civic and Community, Life Science, Higher Education markets, including building yours and the firm's reputation as a leader and trusted advisor in our markets.
  • Collaborate with other design leaders in the firm to produce exceptional designs, embracing our holistic design approach, and to advance the design reputation of the firm.
  • Lead with the design team to achieve quality level on our projects expected by the firm which includes adherence to the HOLISTIC DESIGN APPROACH of "INVISION, DISCOVER, ITERATE, & ACT". Lead the process in collaboration with the Project Manager and Market leadership to develop Project Vision Consensus, Design Excellence Criteria, Team Composition, Work Plan, Risk Management, Profit Plan, Client Relations and Loyalty, Change Management, Monitoring and Control, Project Close-Out and Lessons Learned.
  • Prepare and present designs and plans for client's approval at various stages. Direct architects, designers and other staff providing services for the firm and coordinating with other consultants on the project. Assist in documenting and maintaining records for the project, including crafting the market position stories for work under your leadership.
  • Perform duties consistent with the professional skill and care ordinarily provided by lead design architects practicing in similar circumstances.
  • Utilize your expertise in firm operations in collaboration with firm leadership to position the firm for success.
  • Mentor other architects and designers within the firm to nurture their talents and to help grow our firm.
  • Participate and collaborate with other leaders in the strategic thinking, planning and retreats of the firm.
  • Promote the purpose and core values of the firm and perform such other duties as may be assigned.
