Senior Wastewater Engineer

Harper Harrison is partnered with a growing engineering consulting firm and is seeking a Senior Engineer with a strong background in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical design, guide junior staff, and engage with clients on impactful infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant engineering design experience in the water/wastewater sector.

• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License is required

• Solid background in municipal infrastructure design, including pump stations, pipelines, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.

• Experience with hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, or InfoWater.

• Interest in leadership and the potential to manage clients, projects, and small teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design efforts for water distribution systems, wastewater conveyance, pumping stations, and treatment plant upgrades or expansions.

• Manage design and permitting tasks, coordinate construction support, and provide mentorship to less experienced team members.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external stakeholders to drive projects to successful completion.

• Oversee the preparation and quality control of design plans and documentation.

• Develop and maintain project work plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations.

• Participate in client meetings and communicate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
