Aviation Planner

A nationally recognized architecture and planning firm is growing its New York team and seeking an experienced Aviation Planner to support and lead strategic terminal, airside, and landside planning efforts.
This is a high-impact role on a team known for delivering complex, large-scale airport projects with a clear focus on passenger experience, operational performance, and future adaptability. You'll work at the intersection of infrastructure, design, and data to shape environments that move millions-smarter and more efficiently.
What You'll Do:
Lead airport terminal planning studies, programming, and layout strategies
Develop plans for concourse flow, gate arrangements, and passenger circulation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align planning with architectural vision
Present planning solutions to client stakeholders and support proposal development
What We're Looking For:
5-12 years of professional experience in aviation planning
Knowledge of FAA/ICAO regulations and airport operational models
Strong analytical skills and comfort with technical drawings, data modeling, and simulation tools
A deep interest in the evolving role of airports in urban and regional ecosystems
