Project Architect - Healthcare

A nationally recognized architecture and design firm is seeking a Project Architect with a focus in healthcare design to join their Atlanta studio. This role is ideal for a licensed architect with strong technical skills, design sensibility, and experience in healthcare environments. The Project Architect will be responsible for managing and producing high-quality technical documentation, coordinating with project teams, and contributing to the execution of design intent across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with designers to develop and coordinate construction documents that align with design vision.
- Interpret and apply technical implications of design decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to firm and project standards for design excellence, quality, and sustainability.
- Direct the production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in coordination with Project Managers.
- Lead and review project documentation, including construction plans and technical detailing, with attention to quality control.
- Stay informed on building technologies, engineering systems, and code requirements.
- Review shop drawings and material samples to ensure conformance with design and documentation.
- Conduct site visits, observe construction progress, and carry out construction administration duties (e.g., RFIs, RFPs, change orders).
- Prepare and review reports, specifications, cost estimates, and compliance analyses (e.g., zoning, accessibility, life safety).
- Maintain and apply firm-wide documentation standards.
- Lead or coordinate the production of documents in line with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support project meetings, establish objectives, and ensure meeting documentation is delivered accurately.
- Contribute to client presentations and marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture required.
- 8-10 years of experience, including strong background in healthcare projects.
- Architectural licensure required in the U.S.
- LEED AP accreditation or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Proficient in Revit; must be able to interpret and review Revit drawings.
- Experience in all phases of design and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of building codes, materials, systems, and construction processes.
