A nationally recognized ENR Top contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent III to support the delivery of large-scale healthcare construction projects throughout the Raleigh market.
This opportunity is ideal for a construction leader who has successfully led complex vertical healthcare expansions within active hospital environments and understands the level of coordination, planning, and communication required to execute highly technical projects with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
The organization is continuing to grow its healthcare division across the Southeast and is looking for individuals who can take ownership in the field, mentor teams, and drive project execution on sophisticated healthcare developments ranging from major renovations and additions to ground-up hospital expansions.
Responsibilities
- Lead field operations on complex healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through turnover
- Manage daily coordination of subcontractors, schedules, logistics, safety, and quality control
- Oversee phased construction and occupied hospital renovations while maintaining strict operational and infection control standards
- Partner closely with project management, owners, consultants, and hospital stakeholders to proactively resolve field issues
- Drive schedule performance and sequencing across highly coordinated MEP and clinical environments
- Mentor assistant superintendents and field engineers while fostering a collaborative jobsite culture
- Lead pull-planning efforts, subcontractor coordination meetings, and site logistics planning
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards
Ideal Background
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience with a strong focus on healthcare projects
- Proven experience leading complex vertical healthcare expansions, additions, or occupied renovations
- Experience managing large-scale acute care, surgical, patient tower, or hospital campus projects
- Strong understanding of ICRA/phased construction within active healthcare environments
- Background managing highly technical MEP-intensive scopes
- Stable career progression within reputable commercial general contractors
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building capabilities
