Business Development Manager, Thermal Services
This role combines strategic business development with technical services expertise. The successful candidate will identify new service opportunities, build long-term OEM relationships and develop thermal service programs supporting next-generation liquid-cooled server platforms.
The Business Development Manager, Thermal Services will drive growth across the rapidly expanding high-performance liquid cooling market, working with major server manufacturers and technology partners supporting AI, HPC and high-density data center environments.
The position will work closely with engineering, product management and service teams to support the deployment, integration and lifecycle performance of Direct-to-Chip cooling, Coolant Distribution Units, hybrid cooling architectures and related thermal infrastructure.
• Identify and develop strategic thermal services opportunities with major server and technology manufacturers
• Build a pipeline of multi-year service agreements, commissioning programs, fluid management services, maintenance contracts and deployment support
• Develop relationships with OEM service organizations, thermal engineering teams, product groups and supply chain stakeholders
• Position thermal services as part of broader liquid cooling deployments for AI, machine learning and HPC platforms
• Lead technical and commercial discovery sessions to understand deployment challenges, service requirements and support models
• Develop service proposals covering uptime improvement, lifecycle support, commissioning, maintenance and performance optimization
• Lead opportunities from initial engagement through pilot programs and larger enterprise agreements
• Negotiate service pricing, service levels, geographic coverage, response expectations and performance commitments
• Track OEM technology roadmaps and platform launches to identify future thermal service requirements
• Identify opportunities to integrate services into extended support, warranty and managed service offerings
Experience Required
• 10+ years of experience across business development, technical sales, strategic account management, applications engineering or technical services
• Experience within data center cooling, server infrastructure, thermal management or another technically complex environment
• Proven ability to develop strategic partnerships with equipment manufacturers or technology providers
• Experience navigating complex customer organizations and developing relationships across engineering, product, service and commercial teams
• Working knowledge of liquid cooling and thermal management technologies
• Understanding of heat transfer principles, coolant characteristics, pump systems and server-level thermal management
• Familiarity with high-density computing environments and the thermal requirements associated with modern accelerated computing platforms
• Strong project management capability with experience coordinating technical and commercial teams
• Ability to translate technical service requirements into commercially viable solutions
Preferred Experience
• Degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline
• Mechanical, Thermal or similar engineering background advantageous
• Experience supporting new product introduction or technology deployment programs
• Understanding of data center facility integration, secondary cooling loops and associated infrastructure
• Existing relationships within the server, data center or advanced computing ecosystem
• Relevant thermal management or data center industry certifications
Travel
Approximately 35% travel is expected, including customer meetings, data center site visits, technical support activities and industry events.
