A nationally recognized architecture firm dedicated exclusively to healthcare and health sciences design is seeking a Principal to join its leadership team in New York City.

This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving client relationships, project excellence, and team development within a firm known for shaping healthcare environments that enhance well-being and support innovation in care delivery. The ideal candidate is both a strong strategist and an experienced architect-comfortable leading client pursuits, guiding complex projects, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary liaison for clients and external partners, ensuring exceptional client service and long-term relationship development

• Lead project pursuits, interviews, and strategic presentations

• Oversee project success across all phases, including scope, budget, schedule, and design integrity

• Inspire, mentor, and support internal teams to maintain motivation, collaboration, and design excellence

• Provide long-term planning support and strategic insight to institutional healthcare clients

• Represent the firm in public forums, regulatory meetings, and industry events

• Collaborate with other firm leaders to support growth, resource planning, and studio operations

Ideal Candidate:

• Licensed Architect preferred

• Minimum of 7 years of experience, ideally with a strong portfolio of healthcare projects

• Proven leadership in project delivery, team development, and client management

• Deep knowledge of building codes, healthcare design standards, and regulatory processes

• Skilled in public speaking and client engagement, with a passion for strategic planning

• Demonstrated ability to foster new business and grow client networks

• Excellent communication, organizational, and mentorship skills

• Willingness to travel for client and project needs as required
