Senior Lab Planner

Client is a specialist Lab design firm operating remotely throughout the US. We seek a (Senior) Lab Planner in any location throughout the U.S. to work on some of the most complex and technically challenging lab projects in the world. 

Job Duties

• Meet with clients/users to develop or validate program requirements for lab and high-tech facilities.
• Develop space programs and physical plans at a variety of scales.
• Collaborate with the project team in planning the facility by developing planning grids, lab organization and service distribution concepts.
• Lead documentation of laboratory systems such as casework, lab equipment, and development of laboratory spaces to create next generation settings for discovery.
• Manage projects including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, and fee management.
• Participate in marketing efforts through proposal development, interview participation and presentations.
• Develop trusting relationships with clients

Requirements

• Registered Architect; NCARB certification is desirable
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the architectural field
• Broad experience in all phases of project development
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Strong project management, mentoring and supervisory skills
• Manage multiple projects and large laboratory projects
• Understands planning, architecture and project management tools and software.
• Experience with contract negotiations, implementation and staffing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools;
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally
