Academic Planner - Fully Remote - U.S.
Our client, a nationally recognized architecture and planning firm, is seeking an accomplished Academic Planner to lead and expand its higher education planning practice.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a professional with deep expertise in academic environments and a strong understanding of how institutional missions translate into spatial design and planning.
The position is fully remote and offers the chance to influence complex planning initiatives for universities and colleges across the country.
Key Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive academic planning efforts across higher education facilities, including science, business, engineering, and general learning spaces.

Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in higher education planning.

Collaborate with architects, lab planners, and designers to align program goals with built environments.

Guide clients through programming, feasibility studies, and long-term campus planning processes.

Incorporate trends in pedagogy, technology, and research into forward-thinking planning strategies.

Cultivate client relationships that strengthen the firm’s reputation for innovation and design excellence.
Qualifications

Significant experience in higher education planning or campus design.

Expertise in academic programming, facility assessment, and

Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Planning, or a related discipline.

Experience with science and research environments preferred.
