Senior Project Architect

Location: Greater Philadelphia Area | Full-Time | Architecture & Design Sector

A nationally recognized healthcare-focused architecture firm is seeking a Senior Project Architect to lead the design and technical execution of complex healthcare environments. This is a key role for an individual who brings together creative vision, technical expertise, and team leadership to deliver projects that are both functional and inspiring. The ideal candidate is passionate about designing spaces that enhance the patient's experience, and thrives in a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and lead the project delivery strategy across all phases.
  • Take full responsibility for the development of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Manage daily direction of production teams, ensuring coordination and clear communication across disciplines.
  • Oversee consultant coordination, ensuring seamless integration with all stakeholders.
  • Engage directly with clients during documentation to facilitate effective technical decision-making.
  • Uphold rigorous QA/QC processes and support consistent adherence to firm-wide quality standards.
  • Conduct and document code and life safety research relevant to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with planning and interiors teams to create integrated design solutions.
  • Bring a deep understanding of healthcare design and a desire to innovate in clinical environments.
  • Contribute to the development of internal technical standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's preferred.
  • 10+ years of architectural experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Demonstrated strength in technical design, documentation, and contract administration.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative spirit with a passion for mentoring and studio culture.
