We are partnered with a multidisciplinary engineering and geomatics firm who are looking to strengthen their Water Resources practice in North Carolina. Their team delivers water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects for municipalities, utilities, and private clients, with an integrated service offering that spans civil/environmental engineering, surveying, and funding support.This role could be based in Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Greenville or Wilmington.
This role will suit a motivated Project Manager who thrives on client engagement, technical delivery, and developing business in the utilities sector. Based in Columbia, you will join an established regional presence while helping expand the firm's water practice locally.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from scoping through delivery.
- Develop and maintain client relationships with municipalities, utilities, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are delivered to scope and standard.
- Provide technical direction, QA/QC oversight, and mentorship to project staff.
- Contribute to business development and practice growth in South Carolina.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- 8-14 years' experience in water/wastewater utilities consulting.
- North Carolina PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
- Proven record in project management, client leadership, and team supervision.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D, hydraulic modelling, and MS Office.
