Assistant Project Manager - Land Development

Harper Harrison is proud to be supporting a nationally recognized land development consulting firm in finding a new Assistant Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis. With nearly four decades of experience, they provide civil engineering, site planning, and permitting expertise across a variety of sectors. Known for their client-first approach, strategic mindset, and strong project execution, they help shape thriving communities while fostering a supportive, growth-oriented culture for their teams. This role will be based from their office in in Baltimore County, Maryland. You'll play an integral part in supporting civil engineering projects for high-profile clients.


Key Responsibilities:

* Work alongside major commercial clients and become familiar with a broad range of development projects
* Learn essential business-side skills like contract development, proposal creation, and budget oversight
* Present project plans to local regulatory boards, improving your public speaking and communication abilities
* Expand your technical knowledge in site layout and grading, while also preparing and reviewing detailed design documents
* Follow projects from kickoff to completion, gaining insight into every phase of the project lifecycle


Qualifications:

* Eagerness to learn, communicate effectively, and contribute to a team environment
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
* PE license is advantageous but not mandatory
* Hands-on experience with site development and civil design processes
* Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil engineering software
