Senior Project Manager - Transportation
Location - Atlanta Metropolitan Area
Our client, a 100% employee-owned consultancy with over 70 offices nationwide, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support growth in Georgia. This is a unique opportunity to shape the direction of a new team, expand and grow the division, and make a lasting impact on major transportation projects.
The Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of delivering roadway, highway or traffic projects of varying size and complexity, while leading business development efforts to expand the firm’s footprint in Georgia. You’ll mentor a motivated team, ensure project excellence, and help drive long-term growth within a collaborative, flexible, and employee-owned environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and highway projects for GDOT, county, and municipal clients
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and quality across multiple programs
- Drive business development activities, including pursuit leadership and client relationship management
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to agencies and municipalities
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers
- Support strategic growth of the transportation practice across Georgia
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (Georgia preferred)
- Proven project management experience across DOT or municipal transportation projects
- Strong communication and client engagement skills
- Experience winning GDOT and local transportation work
