Project Architect – Mission Critical (Data Centers)
Location: Dallas, TX
An established, global design and engineering firm is expanding its Mission Critical practice and is seeking a Project Architect to join its Dallas team. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on complex, large-scale data center projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
This role is ideal for a technically strong architect who enjoys owning projects from early design through delivery, while working closely with integrated teams across architecture, engineering, and consulting disciplines.
The Role
You will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of Mission Critical facilities, supporting both project delivery and client interaction. This position offers strong visibility within a growing sector of the business, with the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical development of Mission Critical projects from concept through construction
- Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Prepare and oversee construction documentation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and technical coordination across all phases
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Support construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, and site coordination
- Ensure adherence to building codes, standards, and best practices specific to data center environments
- Contribute to mentorship of junior staff and overall team development
Qualifications
- Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure preferred
- 6–12+ years of professional experience, with a strong background in complex project types
- Experience in Mission Critical, data centers, or similarly technical building typologies strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Revit and a strong understanding of BIM workflows
- Solid knowledge of construction detailing, documentation, and coordination processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
