A globally recognized, prominent, vertically integrated data center development and investment platform is seeking a Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety to lead and advance the organization’s data center construction and operations programs.
This individual will partner with global stakeholders and leadership to develop and implement EHS programs across multiple developments in the United States. This position offers the opportunity to create and implement a safety program across multiple hyperscale campuses in the United States for one of the fastest growing data center developers in the United States.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of serving in an EHS leadership position preferably within the data center or mission-critical space, with significant experience in managing multi-site or national EHS programs. This candidate will be responsible for implementing and improving safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of EHS programs and strategy to further develop a forward-thinking safety strategy.
- Guarantee adherence with regulatory, corporate and operational site safety standards.
- Create and implement national EHS programs, principles, and frameworks.
- Identify and reduce risk within environmental, health, and safety regulations across multiple hyperscale developments.
- Drive organizational alignment around safety, sustainability, and long-term operational resilience.
- Oversee all site EHS operations, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and applicable regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with site leadership to incorporate safety considerations into operational planning, maintenance efforts, and capital improvement projects.
- Lead the site safety committee and promote active employee participation in safety programs and initiatives.
- Verify that site personnel and third-party vendors comply with established safety protocols, procedures, and training requirements.
- Leading and building successful EHS teams across multiple developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Ability to influence leadership and drive changes throughout the organization.
- 10+ Years in an EHS Leadership position in construction with data center experience preferred.
- Proven experience developing and implementing safety programs across multiple complex sites or projects.
- Deep understanding of environmental, risk management, and occupational safety standards.
- Ability in building and managing high performing EHS teams.
