Project Manager - Healthcare

Location: Irvine, CA and Sacramento, CA | Full-Time | Architecture & Design Sector

We're partnered with a well-established, innovative architecture firm with a heavy presence on across the West Coast to find an experienced Project Manager to support their growing Healthcare practice in their Sacramento or Irvine office

This nationally respected 225-person firm is known for its deep healthcare expertise, designing impactful environments across acute care, medical office, senior living, and science & technology sectors. Their California offices are growing, and this role offers both immediate project impact and a clear path for future leadership, particularly for those passionate about healthcare design and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of medium-to-large scale healthcare projects from concept through construction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams-ensuring clear, proactive communication throughout.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables with support from senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with design, technical, and consultant teams to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements and client goals.
  • Support the development of acute care and OSHPD/HCAI-compliant facilities (experience with OSHPD 1 or 2 is a plus but not required).
  • Help mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented studio culture.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional experience, with a strong background in healthcare architecture.
  • Proven experience on medium to large healthcare projects, ideally including acute care facilities.
  • Familiarity with OSHPD/HCAI requirements preferred but not required.
  • Strong client-facing skills and ability to lead external communication with consultants and healthcare systems.
  • Priorities being collaborative, communicative, and organized while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Interest in long-term career growth and potential to help lead the firm's acute care work.
