Senior Site Civil Designer

We're working with a well-established and growing multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that's looking to hire a Senior Site Civil Designer with extensive experience in civil site design. This is a great opportunity to take on a technically challenging role with leadership responsibility in a collaborative and well-resourced environment.

You'll be based in either Orlando or Jacksonville, supporting private and public sector land development projects across Florida. The position suits someone who's highly proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and enjoys seeing designs come to life - from concept through to permitting and construction support.


What You'll Be Doing:

- Leading the preparation of civil site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Collaborating on technical design packages, specifications, and reports
- Completing and submitting permit applications
- Supporting construction administration and preparing field observation documentation
- Managing tasks within time, budget, and quality expectations
- Advising on project scope, schedule, and resources
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Liaising with clients and attending project meetings


What We're Looking For:

- 10+ years of experience in civil design, ideally focused on land development
- Associate degree from a technical school or equivalent experience
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Deep understanding of Florida permitting processes
- Strong communicator with experience leading design efforts and interacting with clients
