As a Project Manager within our Water/Wastewater Design team, you will lead diverse projects involving water and wastewater conveyance systems, pump stations, lift stations, storage tanks, and treatment facilities. You will play a pivotal role in driving project success and client satisfaction through strategic leadership and technical excellence.
* Lead and manage water and wastewater projects to successful, profitable completion.
* Oversee technical elements, ensuring adherence to industry standards and client expectations.
* Direct engineers and technical support staff throughout project lifecycles.
* Develop detailed project work plans, budgets, and effectively allocate resources.
* Analyze and act upon critical business metrics including utilization, backlog, work-in-process, and receivables.
* Maintain precise schedules for multiple simultaneous projects, tracking milestones rigorously.
* Conduct thorough monthly project accounting and invoicing.
* Implement and uphold stringent QA/QC procedures.
* Participate in bidding processes, construction observation, submittal reviews, and manage RFIs.
* Resolve any design conflicts and construction-related issues.
* Represent the firm professionally in meetings with clients and government agencies.
* Contribute actively to proposals, presentations, and interviews.
* Mentor, train, and grow junior staff members.
* Foster strong relationships internally, externally with clients, and strategic partners.
* Lead targeted business development activities.
* Ensure adherence to company values and practices, exhibiting integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
To excel in this role, candidates will possess proven experience in water and wastewater engineering projects, coupled with strong leadership and project management capabilities.
* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
* Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain within six months.
* Minimum 7 years' experience as a Project Engineer or similar role.
* Proven expertise in water and wastewater conveyance, pump stations, lift stations, storage, and treatment system designs.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and personnel, ensuring profitability.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of alternative project delivery methods preferred.
