A nationally recognized, mission-driven architecture and engineering practice is seeking an Architectural Project Manager to join its growing studio in Culver City. This firm is a leader in public-sector and education design, delivering impactful environments that serve students, educators, and communities across California.

This is a highly visible role within a collaborative studio that is intentionally expanding. The team is looking for a confident project leader who understands the nuances of DSA processes, district engagement, and the responsibility that comes with stewarding long-term public education work.

 

The Opportunity

  • You will lead K–12 education projects from early planning through construction administration, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams. This role requires someone who can balance technical rigor with strong communication, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, on budget, and in alignment with district expectations.
  • You will have the opportunity to shape studio growth, mentor junior staff, and contribute to a culture that prioritizes collaboration, accountability, and design excellence in the public realm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple K–12 education projects through all phases of design and delivery
  • Manage DSA coordination, approvals, and compliance documentation
  • Serve as the primary liaison with school districts, consultants, and contractors
  • Oversee schedules, budgets, and consultant coordination
  • Guide internal teams and support mentorship of emerging staff
  • Ensure technical quality control and adherence to California building codes and education standards

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of architectural experience with demonstrated project management responsibility
  • Strong K–12 education project experience in California
  • Direct experience working with DSA and navigating approval processes
  • Proficiency in Revit and production oversight
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong district relationships
  • Licensed Architect in California preferred
