A nationally recognized architecture and engineering practice with a strong presence in education and civic work is seeking a Construction Manager to join its growing Southern California team.

The Role: As Construction Manager, you will serve as a key liaison between design teams, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders throughout the construction phase. You will provide on site leadership, ensure quality control, manage schedules and budgets, and drive projects forward from groundbreak to closeout.

You will play a critical role in maintaining alignment between design intent and field execution while proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and maintaining strong communication across all parties.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee construction phase services on K 12 and civic projects across the Los Angeles region
  • Serve as the primary point of contact during construction for clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
  • Monitor schedule, budget, and overall project performance
  • Coordinate with inspectors, agencies, and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Lead site visits and field reports, ensuring quality and compliance
  • Support DSA coordination and approval processes where applicable

What We Are Looking For

  • 8 plus years of experience in construction management, owner representation, or construction administration
  • Experience supporting public sector, K 12, education, or civic projects in California
  • Strong understanding of DSA processes and compliance is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex project teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to operate with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative culture
