Project Architect – Healthcare

Location: Atlanta, GA

About the Opportunity

A growing, design-focused architecture practice is seeking a Project Architect to join its Atlanta studio, supporting an expanding portfolio of healthcare and higher education projects across the Southeast.

With continued growth and increasing project volume, the firm is investing in building out high-performing teams across both its Atlanta and newly established Jacksonville office. This role will play a key part in delivering complex, mission-driven work while helping shape the next phase of the practice’s growth.

The Role

As a Project Architect, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, pod-based team structure, working alongside Project Managers and Design Professionals to deliver thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.

You will contribute across all phases of design and documentation, with a strong emphasis on healthcare environments, including clinical planning, coordination, and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to the development of design and technical documentation across all project phases

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure project coordination and quality

  • Support the delivery of healthcare and/or higher education projects, including clinical and allied health environments

  • Participate in client meetings and user group sessions, helping translate requirements into design solutions

  • Mentor and support emerging professionals within the team

  • Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with schedule, scope, and design intent

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–10+ years of experience in architecture

  • Strong experience as a Project Architect or in a similar technical leadership role

  • Experience in healthcare design preferred, or relevant overlap in higher education, life sciences, or allied health environments

  • Proficiency in documentation, detailing, and coordination across disciplines

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment

  • Licensure or on the path to licensure is preferred

Why Join

  • Growth & Opportunity: Be part of a firm in expansion mode, with plans to continue building teams across Atlanta and Jacksonville

  • Collaborative Culture: A non-hierarchical environment where “great ideas win”, regardless of title or tenure

  • Meaningful Work: Contribute to impactful healthcare and education projects that serve communities

  • Team Structure: Work within tight-knit, supportive teams designed to foster mentorship and professional growth

Additional Context

  • The firm is actively growing its Healthcare practice, led at the national level, with strong regional leadership in place

  • The Jacksonville office, established recently, is continuing to expand alongside the Atlanta studio

  • Multiple hires are anticipated over the next year across both locations, creating strong opportunities for career progression
