• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 0 to 3 years of relevant mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering experience
• Experience using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Understanding of part modeling, assemblies and engineering drawing creation
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials and design-for-manufacturability principles
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple assignments with appropriate supervision
• Good communication skills when working with engineering and production teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Equivalent practical experience may be considered in place of formal education where appropriate.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to electro-mechanical equipment or electrical distribution products
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal design
• Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and drafting practices
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to incorporate feedback from production, suppliers and other engineering teams into design updates
• Interest in continuous improvement and developing stronger mechanical design capability
