Professional Land Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Land Surveyor, licenced in Georgia, to take a leading role within a growing surveying practise. As a full-service civil engineering, surveying, and mapping consultancy, we have a strong reputation for delivering quality, reliable solutions across the Southeast. The team supports a diverse mix of public and private sector clients, providing multidisciplinary services in civil site design, transportation, water resources, land surveying, GIS, and construction management.
The Opportunity
As a Professional Land Surveyor, you will oversee and perform a variety of surveys, including boundary, topographic, GPS, geodetic, and construction surveys. You will also have the opportunity to mentor teams, maintain technical excellence, and contribute to the success of key GDOT and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and support the continued growth of our surveying practise
- Perform ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, construction layouts, and boundary/topographic surveys
- Conduct surveys and mapping for GDOT and other transportation infrastructure projects
- Prepare plats, legal descriptions, and QA/QC documentation
- Carry out research at public and private record offices
- Review, sign, and seal survey plans and deliverables
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications:
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licence in Georgia (additional state licences a plus)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in land surveying
- Experience with GDOT or transportation-related projects preferred
- Proficiency in Carlson, AutoCAD, and related surveying software
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in both office and field environments
