Aviation Planner (10+ Years of experience)
Job Summary:
A leading aviation planning and consulting firm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aviation Planner. This individual will bring a strong background in aviation and infrastructure planning and will contribute to a dynamic portfolio of projects at some of the nation's most prominent and complex airports. The role involves leadership in technical planning, project management, and coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads the development of aviation planning projects across landside, terminal, airside, environmental, and economic disciplines.
Oversees research, data analysis, and reporting efforts using tools such as GIS, AutoCAD, Revit, and airport simulation software.
Coordinates project activities with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Manages small- to mid-sized projects or serves as a task lead on larger initiatives, from concept through implementation.
Prepares and manages project scopes, schedules, and budgets with a focus on maintaining profitability.
Authors and edits technical reports, environmental documents, and presentations for various audiences.
Represents the company in client meetings, stakeholder engagements, and public presentations.
Provides mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level staff.
Participates in business development efforts, including proposal writing and interview presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aviation Management, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated expertise in airport planning at large hub airports.
Proven project management experience with a solid understanding of profitability and resource management.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
Comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry and associated planning methodologies.
