Medical Planner / Healthcare Architect (5-10+ Years' Experience)

Position Summary:
The selected candidate will participate in all stages of project delivery, from early planning through construction. This includes facilitating clinical user group sessions, developing space programs, producing technical documentation, and contributing to design solutions that align with clinical and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support the planning and design of healthcare facilities, including inpatient and outpatient settings
Work directly with client stakeholders to identify goals, explore planning options, and present solutions
Participate in user engagement sessions and design workshops
Prepare documents that meet applicable codes and healthcare guidelines (e.g., FGI, Joint Commission)
Collaborate with architecture, interiors, MEP, and structural teams throughout design and documentation phases
Produce high-quality drawings and contribute to detailed healthcare interior documentation
Maintain awareness of trends and best practices in healthcare design and planning
Qualifications:
5-10 years of relevant experience in healthcare architecture or medical planning
Proven experience in the design and execution of complex healthcare projects
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements and space standards
Strong communication and presentation abilities; able to convey complex ideas clearly to clients and internal teams
Ability to lead client meetings and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency in Revit is essential
Licensed Architect required
LEED accreditation preferred; familiarity with LEAN concepts is a plus
Willingness to travel as needed for client and project requirements
