Senior Project Manager

Location: Coral Gables, FL | Full-Time | Architecture & Design Sector

A nationally recognized architecture and design firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Miami-area studio. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong project delivery, team leadership, and client management skills. The ideal candidate will lead projects across all phases, from concept through construction, with an emphasis on design excellence, execution, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of the architectural design process, ensuring alignment with firm standards, client goals, and project budgets.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of projects, including scope, schedule, staffing, fee management, and quality control.
  • Provide strategic direction to internal teams while promoting collaboration, creativity, and high-performance culture.
  • Lead the development of project scope, services, budgets, and contracts during proposal and marketing phases.
  • Act as the central point of contact for clients, consultants, and team members to ensure clear, timely, and effective communication.
  • Oversee and manage project tracking tools such as Deltek Vision/PMTK, including staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and change management.
  • Collaborate with Project Architects to anticipate and resolve schedule conflicts across multiple projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of meetings, team updates, and project communication to ensure transparency and continuity.
  • Monitor construction administration and field activity and respond to design and technical issues as they arise.
  • Conduct risk management, identifying and resolving client and technical concerns to minimize project liability.
  • Actively participate in marketing and business development opportunities, nurture client relationships for ongoing project work.
  • Support staffing and resource allocation with the Operations Director.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline.
  • Architectural or Interior Design licensure required.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated leadership in project management.
  • Expertise in BIM (especially Revit), building codes, construction contract administration, site analysis, and life safety.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D tools, including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling methods (e.g., 3D printing, laser cutting) is a plus.
  • Experience using Deltek Vision/PMTK or equivalent project management tools.
  • LEED Green Associate credential required within 6 months of hire.
  • Professional accreditation in sustainable or regenerative design is encouraged (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, BREEAM, SITES, CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Professional, proactive, and team-oriented work ethic.
