As they expand their Engineering Group, we're actively seeking a Bridge Design Structural Engineer to support a range of impactful transportation and infrastructure projects across New York State.
In this role, you'll play a key part in the design and development of detailed structural plans for bridges and roadway structures. You'll work closely with a supportive, multidisciplinary team that's committed to delivering high-quality, community-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and produce structural drawings for bridges and road projects
Apply NYSDOT specifications and industry standards to structural engineering work
Collaborate with internal teams and municipal clients to meet project goals and deadlines
Prepare engineering reports, calculations, and documentation for project submissions
Support projects through the LDSA (Locally Administered Federal Aid) process
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in bridge design
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.S. required)
Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Familiarity with NYSDOT specifications and standards
Experience designing prestressed concrete or steel girder bridges
Understanding of the LDSA process preferred
New York State PE license preferred, but not required
