Senior Water Treatment Leader - Office Lead

In combination with a national client leading the way in the water engineering world, we are seeking a senior-level water treatment professional with deep expertise in project management, water treatment process design, and client relationship development to lead our Sarasota, FL office. This role will focus on growing the local office, managing key projects, and building strong client relationships in the region while contributing to firm-wide water treatment strategy and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Sarasota office, setting annual goals, building a high-performing team, and expanding local market presence in drinking water treatment.

  • Collaborate with regional and national leadership to shape business strategy, drive innovation, and identify growth opportunities within the water treatment sector.

  • Serve as the primary client liaison, supporting the development and execution of water treatment projects across the region.

  • Develop treatment strategies, select appropriate processes, and define design criteria to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

  • Oversee project proposals, support business development efforts, and pursue key strategic opportunities.

  • Mentor junior staff and assist in talent acquisition, training, and career development initiatives.

  • Manage full project lifecycle activities including planning, studies, design, construction oversight, and operational support.

  • Engage in direct coordination with clients, regulators, and internal discipline leads to ensure projects meet technical, budgetary, and timeline expectations.

  • Ensure all work aligns with internal quality control processes and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering complex drinking water treatment and quality projects.

  • Expertise across all project phases, including planning, studies, design, construction, and implementation.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing technical teams and engaging directly with clients.

  • In-depth understanding of municipal water systems, treatment technologies, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in water treatment project delivery, preferably in municipal or industrial applications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
